Athletics and Activities
EXTRACURRICULARS
Building confidence beyond the classroom.
At St. Peter, extracurricular programs give students the opportunity to learn new skills, make friends, and build confidence as they explore their passions outside the classroom. From athletics to music to hands-on clubs, there is something here for every student.

ATHLETICS
Building character and excelling athletically.
St. Peter Wildcats compete across three seasons in fall, winter, and spring. Athletics are open to students in grades 5 through 8, with something available for every student who wants to participate.
Fall - Cross Country & Volleyball
Cross country gives students the opportunity to compete individually and as a team. Volleyball brings students together for team competition.
Winter - Basketball
Basketball is St. Peter’s winter sport, giving students the opportunity to develop their skills, compete as a team, and represent the Wildcats on the court.
Spring - Track & Field
The spring season closes the athletic year with individual and team events across a variety of disciplines.
Detailed information about each season, including practice schedules and registration, will be distributed to students and parents at the start of each season. Questions? Contact the school office at (847) 885-3350.
ACTIVITIES
Discover your talents through arts and clubs.
Music is woven into the life of St. Peter—in the classroom, in chapel, and in the community. Two programs give every student from kindergarten through 8th grade the opportunity to sing, and our band program serves students in grades 4 through 8.
Choir
Every student in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade is invited to join choir. The Sonbeams choir serves students in kindergarten through 2nd grade under the direction of Miss Blinn. The Sonshine choir serves students in grades 3 through 8 under the direction of Mrs. Jungkuntz. Both choirs rehearse on Tuesday afternoons and perform at weekend worship services, school chapel, and special events throughout the year.
Band
St. Peter’s band program is open to students in grades 4 through 8, with three skill levels, group lessons, and solo contest preparation. The program is offered in partnership with Music & Arts. No prior experience is necessary. Students are introduced to instruments and matched to the right fit at the start of each school year. For more information visit our program page on Music & Arts.
Clubs
Explore something new by joining a club! We offer Lego Club for students in grades 1 through 8, where students build and design creations. Chess club is open to students grades 2 through 8. Beginners are paired with experienced players and progress at their own pace. Details and registration are distributed at the start of the school year.
